Artist Statement
I am a self-taught artist primarily exploring painting and drawing. I am interested in and inspired by powerful womxn, revolution, consciousness, the vastness of the universe, nature, plants, animals, insects, and the spaces between and beyond (false) binaries in my mind and out in the world. I am drawn to patterns, texture, bright disconcerting colors, multiple perspectives, and realities.

Biography
I was born in Boulder, Colorado and since 2012 have lived and worked in Brooklyn, New York. I am a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and English from Colorado State University. In addition to making art, I work in the field of social justice communications where I use the power of art, media, narrative, and story-telling to help build and sustain powerful revolutionary movements for collective liberation. When I’m not doing that or making art, I am most likely gardening, learning about plants, or watching science fiction and feminist horror movies.
